Job DescriptionControl Panel Builder - Entry Level

Location: Amesbury, MA
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

We are seeking an entry-level Control Panel Builder to join our manufacturing team in Amesbury, MA. This position is responsible for assembling industrial control panels and automation systems according to engineering drawings, schematics, and quality standards. Training will be provided, but candidates should possess a basic understanding of electrical wiring methods and electrical assembly practices.

Position Summary

The Control Panel Builder assembles custom electrical control panels based on engineering designs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow established control panel assembly procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret enclosure layouts, panel layouts, and electrical schematics.
  • Perform enclosure modifications, including drilling, tapping, and panel cutouts.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of drill sizes, hole sizes, and electrical trade standards.
  • Identify and install components according to drawings and bills of materials.
  • Route, terminate, and label wiring according to engineering specifications.
  • Accurately apply panel and wire identification labels.
  • Demonstrate quality workmanship in panel assembly and component installation.
  • Support quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, as business needs require.
  • Travel to customer or project sites as needed; additional compensation may apply for travel assignments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and assembly practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, electrical assembly, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Schedule

  • First Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Overtime opportunities available based on business needs



Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
