Dog Daycare & Kennel Technician
Starting Pay: $18.00 to $20.00/Hours: 35–40/week (Weekdays, Some Weekends, Some Holidays)
Two of our staff members are heading off to college in a few weeks. We are seeking a reliable, responsible, safety‐minded Dog Daycare Attendant/Kennel Technician to join our professional team. The ideal candidate is calm, observant, and committed to high‐quality animal care.
In this role, you’ll provide attentive care to our four-legged guests and exceptional service to their owners. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love working with dogs, this could be the perfect fit!
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and interact with daycare dogs during play and exercise to ensure dog safety
• Monitor canine body language, stress signals, and behavior changes
•Maintain clean, safe and strict sanitation & infectious disease protocols of the kennels, play areas and grooming spaces.
• Follow established safety rules and veterinary instructions
• Provide daily care including feeding, medication administration, and special‐care routines
•Monitor animal health and behavior, promptly reporting any concerns
Required Skills & Traits
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work in a fast‐paced, physically demanding environment
• Professional communication with clients and team members
•Positively greet and check in/out daycare, boarding, and grooming •Confident handling and safely restraining dogs of all sizes and temperaments
•Strong knowledge of basic pet care and kennel cleanliness standards.
•Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks
•Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ethical conduct
Preferred Experience
1 year of experience in a daycare, kennel or veterinary setting is strongly preferred.
