We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to lead the full employee lifecycle for a growing organization of approximately 500 team members in Manchester, New Hampshire. This leadership role partners closely with senior executives to shape people strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and foster a high-performing workplace culture. The position oversees core HR functions including hiring, total rewards, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations while guiding the development of the HR team.
Responsibilities:
• Create and carry out a people strategy that aligns workforce initiatives with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Partner with executive leadership on organizational structure, staffing plans, and change-related initiatives that support evolving business needs.
• Direct, mentor, and develop the HR team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and strong service delivery across the function.
• Monitor key workforce metrics such as retention, hiring timelines, engagement, and labor expenses to inform leadership decisions.
• Lead recruitment strategy and hiring processes, including sourcing approaches, employer positioning, and improvements to candidate experience.
• Build and refine onboarding programs that help new employees integrate quickly and become productive in their roles.
• Oversee compensation programs, annual salary planning, pay equity efforts, and employee benefits administration, including open enrollment.
• Guide performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and manager coaching to strengthen employee growth and organizational capability.
• Manage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, leaves, separations, and compliance with applicable employment laws.
• Improve HR operations, maintain accurate employee records and data privacy standards, and support implementation of organizational or system changes when needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive human resources experience, including 5 or more years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise across recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, HR administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now or a comparable human resources information system.
• Proven success advising senior leaders and influencing decisions on workforce and organizational matters.
• Background supporting a multi-state employee population within a growing or fast-evolving organization.
• Advanced degree or HR certification is preferred.
