Precision CAM Programmer, CNC Lathe/Mill Operations

Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Roles and Responsibilities

• Create and modify Mastercam programs for CNC turning and milling

• Debug and optimize CNC programs for prototype and production runs

• Set up and operate CNC machines to validate and run programs

• Support both CNC lathe and mill operations

• Perform CNC machine setup and changeovers

• Troubleshoot CNC machines and machining processes

• Conduct in process and final inspections

• Use CMM, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement equipment

• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

• Apply GD&T requirements to machining and inspection processes

• Select and maintain appropriate tooling

• Assist with fabrication activities when required

• Identify and resolve machining and programming issues

• Maintain quality and safety standards

• Work collaboratively with manufacturing and production teams

• Support continuous improvement of machining and programming processes

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum 3 years of Mastercam programming experience

• Experience using Mastercam version 19 or newer

• Proven CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with both CNC milling and turning preferred

• Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Strong understanding of GD&T

• Experience with CNC machine setup and changeover

• Experience with precision tooling setup

• Experience using CMM and precision measurement instruments

• Experience with micrometers and bore gauges

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Detail oriented and quality focused

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
