Job Title: Production Operator
Job Type: 3 Months Contract with Possible extension
Shift Time: 8 Am to 5 PM (Monday to Friday)

Pay Rate: $20.50/hr
Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for safely operating and managing the production process from raw materials through final quality control. This role involves operating production equipment, monitoring process parameters, handling materials, completing production documentation, and ensuring finished products meet quality and customer requirements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
Forklift experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to stand, reach, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical activities.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to safely work on ladders and elevated platforms when required.
Responsibilities
Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a safe production environment.
Oversee production activities from raw materials through final quality control.
Produce various types of rods according to the production schedule.
Efficiently coordinate mixing, extrusion, drying, cutting, and firing processes to maximize production and meet customer orders.
Monitor and manage key raw materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
Work with Process Engineering and management to troubleshoot quality and production issues.
Complete required production, quality, and process documentation accurately.
Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, and cleanout procedures within the assigned production area.
Adjust processing parameters as needed to achieve required product specifications.
Properly store raw materials, work-in-process materials, and finished goods in designated locations.
Operate a forklift to move pallets of raw materials, powder-filled totes, and other production materials.
Safely operate equipment from elevated locations, including ladders and platforms, when necessary.
Pack finished goods for shipment as needed.
Load and unload trucks as required.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipment.
Follow company policies, production procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
