Birchwood Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Housekeeping Aide to join our team. If you take pride in keeping spaces clean, comfortable, and welcoming, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview

Housekeeping team members play an important role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned areas.

Housekeeping Aide Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned areas.

• Clean and disinfect floors, furniture, beds, bathrooms, and other surfaces according to established procedures.

• Assist with cleaning and preparing resident rooms following a discharge or room transfer, including moving personal belongings as needed.

• Collect and dispose of trash and refuse properly to help prevent the spread of infection and avoid safety, fire, or pest hazards.

• Follow established infection control practices and proper cleaning procedures.

• Follow all facility safety rules and remain alert to fire hazards and other potential safety concerns.

• Properly store cleaning compounds and hazardous substances to protect residents, visitors, and staff.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Housekeeping Aide Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or laundry experience preferred.

• Reliable, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.

Note: Employees under 18 years of age may not operate dangerous equipment, including compactors.
