We are seeking a self-driven and self-motivated Industrial Equipment Mechanic to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will primarily work on forestry industry equipment such as woodchippers, stump grinders, and small to medium-sized loaders. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of industrial equipment in an independent work environment with a focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
- Perform mechanical repairs on forestry and industrial equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Replace worn or faulty parts efficiently and accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all tasks
- Perform quality inspections to confirm repairs and maintenance effectiveness
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes
- Document repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Interact professionally with customers regarding equipment status and repairs
- Manage and maintain tools required for effective equipment maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance
