Manufacturing Technician I & II
Location: Palmer, Ma
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: [Day / Evening / Night]
Pay Range: $19.00 per hour, based on experience and level
Position Summary
We are seeking motivated and dependable Manufacturing Technicians I & II to join our production team. These positions support the manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection of products while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards.
The ideal candidates are hands-on, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a team-based manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing Technician I — Responsibilities
- Perform routine manufacturing, assembly, and production activities.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and tools according to established procedures.
- Assemble components and products using hand tools and production equipment.
- Perform basic inspections and functional testing of products.
- Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Identify and report equipment, material, or quality issues to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support experienced technicians and other departments as needed.
- Participate in training and develop technical skills required for the position.
Manufacturing Technician II — Responsibilities
In addition to the responsibilities listed for Technician I, the Manufacturing Technician II will:
- Perform more complex assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing operations.
- Set up, adjust, and operate manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and/or process-related issues within the scope of the position.
- Perform detailed inspections and testing to verify product quality and performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, process improvements, and production problem-solving.
- Train and provide technical guidance to Manufacturing Technicians I and other team members.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve production issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Support new product introductions, process validations, and continuous improvement activities as required.
Qualifications
Manufacturing Technician I
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or technical experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and technical skills.
Manufacturing Technician II
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certificate preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant manufacturing or technical experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment or processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Experience with equipment setup, testing, inspection, or process troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or assist less-experienced technicians.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and work in various positions.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
