We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a proven background in electrical design for the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD Electrical, with the ability to design, develop, and oversee electrical systems from concept through completion. This role is hands-on, client-facing, and offers opportunities for leadership and career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical Design: Develop power distribution, lighting, and control systems that are efficient, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.

  • Produce Shop Drawings: Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications in Revit and AutoCAD Electrical for permits and construction.

  • Perform Technical Calculations: Execute load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies to ensure optimal system performance.

  • Review & Interpret Designs: Verify electrical plans, blueprints, and technical drawings for accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with project managers, consultants, and other disciplines to deliver fully integrated project solutions.

  • Conduct Site Inspections: Monitor construction sites for adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

  • Mentor Team Members: Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.

  • Ensure Project Success: Drive projects to completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

  • Stay Current: Remain up to date on electrical codes, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation required.

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on construction projects.

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and lead teams.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
