PRIMARY FUNCTION:

- Quality Assurance Engineering for Specialty Films
- Lead and sustain ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, implement Quality Assurance programs and plans, and drive data‑driven process improvements to ensure product and process conformity to specifications and applicable standards.
- Monitor inspection and testing processes and analyze results to verify finished‑goods compliance; support manufacturing with process control planning, internal auditing, capability studies, PFMEAs, customer communication, and related quality initiatives.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce variation and improve reliability using appropriate statistical methods and continuous‑improvement tools.
- Manage Supplier Quality activities—supplier qualification/approval, flow‑down of product and customer requirements, and collaboration with key suppliers to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n
- \n
- Quality Assurance
- Interact with all Cornell Dubilier functions to lead continuous improvement efforts and develop process controls within the complete business value stream to assure compliance with all established quality standards and specifications
- Conduct daily production floor walkthroughs to aide operators in any in-process manufacturing issues. Must be able to provide support with production root cause analysis, failure analysis and non-conforming material dispositions stemming from production as well as supplier supplied materials
- Develop and execute validation protocols with Operations to support key customer requirements via the following: Installation Qualification, Performance Qualification, Operational Qualification plans, PPAPs and other qualifications that may be required for products and processes
- Establish and maintain quality plans, inspection plans, and inspection results
- Perform internal and external unit failure analysis, report results and identify appropriate corrective actions
- Work with sourced product suppliers on non-conforming products for raw materials and finished products
- Monitor key supplier performance with Purchasing, conduct supplier audits, and lead up continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain
- Perform quality-related training on QMS processes, continuous improvement tools and methods
- Will provide direction and guidance to quality technicians and/or inspectors, as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n
_____ High School Diploma or four years of equivalent experience.
\n
__X__ Bachelors Degree and five years of relevant experience.
\n
_____ Masters Degree or twelve years equivalent experience.
\n
_____ Specialized Professional Status: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer; Auditor
\n
\n
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
\n
- \n
- Must possess strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Microsoft products preferred.
- Working knowledge of JMP, Minitab or other statistical software.
- Must possess excellent communication (oral/written), organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Ability to travel to suppliers in the US and internationally: approximately 15% travel.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
\n

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining us, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
