At Progressive Manufacturing in Newport, New Hampshire, your craft shapes precision sheet metal components and modern gas fireplace assemblies that customers count on. We have immediate opportunities for experienced welders on first shift who take pride in accuracy, finish quality, and teamwork.

A day in this role

You’ll review detailed weldment drawings, plan your approach, and set up for MIG, TIG, and laser welding on Mild Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, and Aluminized steel. You’ll assemble both individual parts and complex subassemblies, then document quality checks to ensure every piece meets spec. Visual alertness, steady hands, and a sharp eye for detail guide your work from first tack to final inspection.

What you’ll do

• Interpret weldment drawings for basic through complex components and subassemblies.
• Perform production welding using MIG, TIG, and laser processes across multiple materials (Mild Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, Aluminized steel).
• Complete quality control documentation and uphold internal quality standards.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support occasional overtime when needed.

What you bring

• Hands-on experience as a production welder across MIG, TIG, and laser operations.
• Strong visual acuity, excellent hand dexterity, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and flex with shifting assignments.

Compensation

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
