We are seeking a Microelectronics Assembler for a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. This is an exciting contract opportunity with the potential for long-term employment. If you have a keen eye for detail and an interest in working with electronics, this is a great opportunity to grow in a hands-on role. In this position, you will play a key part in assembling and/or testing cutting-edge products and systems in production.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instructions and drawings.
  • Use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to meet quality requirements.
  • Understand and interpret assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes.
  • Work with components that may require visual magnification, ranging from microscopic to large sizes.
  • Utilize various hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, and cutters, and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers and screwdrivers.
  • Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve throughput and contribute to continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in assembly, hand tools, production, electronics, mechanical assembly, and soldering.
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to learn J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Experience with electrical and/or micro-electronics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and test equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and a reputation for punctuality and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with power tools.

Work Environment

You will be working on a clean manufacturing floor. The work schedule is Friday to Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM after training on the first shift for 1.5 months. Initial training will take place Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
