Home Decor Group is looking for an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Window Treatment Sales & Design Specialist to join our decorating team at our Pembroke, MA location.
We specialize in custom window treatments, wallpaper, paint, and home decorating products. We're looking for someone who has experience working with both hard and soft window treatments, enjoys helping customers bring their decorating ideas to life, and is comfortable managing projects from the initial consultation through installation. This position offers the opportunity to work with customers both in our showroom and in their homes, providing personalized decorating solutions while building long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with selecting custom window treatments, including both hard and soft treatments.
- Provide guidance on hard window treatments such as blinds, shades, shutters, cellular shades, roller shades, and motorized products.
- Assist customers with soft window treatments, including custom draperies, Roman shades, valances, cornices, and fabric selections.
- Conduct in-store consultations and in-home appointments to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Take accurate window measurements and prepare detailed quotes and proposals.
- Work with leading window treatment manufacturers to develop custom solutions.
- Manage customer projects from initial consultation through ordering and installation.
- Coordinate with installers and vendors to ensure accurate and timely completion of customer orders.
- Follow up with customers on proposals, orders, and installation schedules.
- Build strong customer relationships and generate repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming showroom with updated product displays and samples.
Qualifications
- Previous experience selling or designing custom window treatments strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of both hard and soft window treatments, including product options, fabrics, measuring, and installation considerations.
- Experience with custom draperies, blinds, shades, shutters, and motorization is a plus.
- Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer projects.
- Comfortable using computers, quoting software, and order management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel locally for in-home customer consultations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
