Job Title: Industrial Assembler

Job Description

This Industrial Assembler role focuses on assembling products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using material lists, blueprints, and assembly drawings. You will gather materials, assemble components at an assigned bench, perform basic tests and inspections, and support pick-and-pack and repair operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with hand and power tools, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Work from material lists to gather and stage the correct materials for each assembly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings to correctly assemble products.
  • Set up and work at an assigned bench in the Roto Assembly department.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to assemble components.
  • Measure parts and assemblies using a tape measure to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately and on time.
  • Perform tests on finished products to verify they meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct visual and functional inspections throughout the assembly process.
  • Pick and pack supplies and components as needed to support production and repair operations.
  • Follow established processes and work instructions consistently across departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-arranged work area in a well-lit environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and leads to meet production goals and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines while operating tools and working on the production floor.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience using hand tools in a production or similar environment.
  • Proven experience using power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions related to assembly tasks.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions from leads and supervisors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to follow specifications and quality standards during assembly and testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Trade school education related to manufacturing, mechanical, or technical fields.
  • Automotive experience that demonstrates mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
  • Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings with confidence.
  • Interest in cross-training and department mobility within assembly operations.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, organized, and well-lit manufacturing facility, primarily within the Roto Assembly department. You work at an assigned bench, using hand and power tools, tape measures, and following blueprints and assembly drawings. The environment is fast-paced but structured, with clear processes and expectations, and offers cross-department opportunities;. The facility provides an on-site gym and maintains a tidy, professional production floor. Standard industrial attire suitable for a hands-on assembly and manufacturing setting is expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northampton, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.20 - $23.20/hr.
