Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
The position offers a built-in opportunity for overtime with a standard 50-hour work week. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Maintain specifications by observing tooling, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls, and replacing worn tools.
- Read and interpret customer blueprints and company operation sheets.
- Utilize Machine Control effectively.
- Set tools and enter offsets into Machine Control.
- Follow setup instructions, including setting up fixtures, vices, and rotaries.
- Troubleshoot and work directly with Programming and Inspection to adjust CNC programs as required.
- Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators as needed.
- Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements, ensuring proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience setting up and running milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in setting up fixtures, changing over tooling, and entering offsets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with deburring, polishing, and metal finishing.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Work Environment
This role is based in a typical production environment on the shop floor of a machine shop. The schedule includes two shifts: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
