Summary The Team Leader, Manufacturing (Repacking Department) will supervise daily operations at the Ward Hill, MA site (Laboratory Chemicals Division). This role is responsible for ensuring safe operations, maintaining quality compliance, and managing production schedules. The ideal candidate will bring proven Lean and Continuous Improvement experience, strong people leadership skills, and a track record of implementing operational improvements. This position offers the opportunity to lead meaningful work with global impact. Roles & Responsibilities Operational Leadership

  • Supervise daily functions of the chemical repacking department and ensure timely completion of production plans to meet customer requirements and business targets.
  • Drive performance metrics in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with planning, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve obstacles and address critical issues.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily safety checks, identify risks, and foster a safety-first culture.
  • Conduct incident investigations and corrective actions.

Quality & Investigations

  • Partner with Quality teams to manage investigations and root cause analyses for non-conformances.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurring issues.

Employee Management

  • Lead and support the repack team by setting clear expectations, objectives, and performance benchmarks.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent development through cross-training, mentoring, and skill-building initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership

  • Apply Lean tools (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kaizen, etc.) to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Lead problem-solving workshops and empower the team to implement solutions.
  • Act as a change leader, challenging the status quo and driving adoption of best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • Proven employee management experience (team leadership strongly preferred).
  • Strong communication and people leadership skills with ability to motivate and engage teams.
  • Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (Green Belt certification preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure safety, maintain quality standards, and manage production processes.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
