This is a dynamic, high-impact role where you’ll oversee all branch operations, drive sales, and build strong relationships with local contractors. Your Role as HVAC Branch Manager

The HVAC Branch Manager will oversee the operations of our Vermont branch, including sales, service, and profitability. You will lead a high-performing team, build strong relationships with contractors, and ensure excellent customer service. As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for daily operations, managing branch budgets and sales, and promoting a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee all branch activities, including warehouse, counter sales, and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, manage logistics, and ensure timely shipments.
  • Ensure branch facility is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Sales & Customer Relations:

  • Drive local sales and profitability by supporting contractor accounts and building new business.
  • Manage bids, quotes, warranties, and returns promptly.
  • Partner with outside sales to grow market share across Vermont and Northern New York.

Financial & Performance Oversight:

  • Manage budgets, sales forecasts, and branch profit goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (sales, margin, expenses, inventory turns).
  • Implement cost controls and continuous improvement strategies.

Leadership & Staff Development:

  • Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
  • Foster teamwork, safety, and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews and cross-train employees for flexibility.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.
  • Promote a proactive, safety-first workplace culture.

Market & Community Engagement:

  • Represent the company in the HVAC community through events and trade associations.
  • Host contractor training sessions, product promotions, and counter days.
  • Build relationships with local representatives, utilities, and industry partners.

What You Need to Succeed:

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC distribution or a related industry.
  • 2+ years in branch or operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC products and systems.
  • Proven leadership, budgeting, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and computer software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
