We are seeking an accomplished Director, Tax & Treasury to lead the organization’s corporate tax and treasury functions at our Lowell, Massachusetts office. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing tax strategies, maintaining compliance with complex domestic and international regulations, and overseeing financial initiatives that enhance the company’s tax position, capital structure, and liquidity. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in tax planning, treasury operations, and people leadership, thriving in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws, including specialized and industry-specific regulations.
- Direct tax compliance and reporting activities, including audits, ASC 740 tax provisions, and financial statement disclosures.
- Lead tax planning and execution for mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence through post-integration.
- Oversee international tax planning, transfer pricing, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Leverage technology and process improvements to enhance tax reporting accuracy and streamline compliance.
- Manage all direct and indirect tax filings, including income, payroll, property, sales, and use taxes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize capital structure, cash management, and liquidity planning.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing tax and treasury team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary liaison with external tax advisors, auditors, and financial institutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required, with an advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in tax and treasury management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of US federal, state, and international tax regulations, including indirect taxes.
• Proven experience in corporate tax compliance and planning, with exposure to international tax strategies.
• Background in the semiconductor or technology industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with tax technology tools and compliance software.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment while driving continuous improvements.
