Job Summary:
-
Cell Line Development Group: The CLD team utilizes state-of-the-art approaches and equipment to generate and characterize production cell lines for Biologics manufacturing.

Team collaborates closely with other teams, such as Analytical Development, the Genomics Research Center, and Cell Culture Development.

Execute experiments in cell line development and characterization with supervision.
-
Extensive cell culture work - both directly and through coordination with the automation sub-team.

Perform data acquisition and analysis in a timely manner.

Assist in experimental designs, data interpretation and troubleshooting.

Document work appropriately in lab notebooks, reports and presentations.

Assist with lab operations and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
-
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Biosciences or related field

Extensive experience with aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture

Microsoft software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, initiative, and integrity

Excellent interpersonal and both written & oral communication in English

Preferred Requirements (Optional):
-
Experience with Flow Cytometry (e.g., analysis, compensation, sorting)

Experience with Molecular Biology (such as plasmid design, recombinant DNA, vector construction, PCR, NGS)

Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook system (ELN)

Strong Attention to Detail; Proactive; Fast learner

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
