What’s a typical day as Shipping/Receiving Worker? You’ll be:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming materials and shipments
  • Verifying materials against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Entering accurate receiving transactions into ERP/inventory management systems
  • Labeling, identifying, and routing materials to appropriate locations
  • Coordinating with Purchasing and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits
  • Organizing warehouse storage and ensuring proper material handling
  • Operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) safely
  • Preparing documentation and maintaining records related to receiving activities
  • Supporting shipping, inventory control, and general warehouse operations
  • Adhering to company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 2+ years of experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or materials management
  • Are familiar with ERP systems, inventory software, and barcode scanning equipment
  • Can read shipping documentation, packing slips, and purchase orders
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Are able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day
  • Preferably have forklift certification or previous forklift experience
  • Have experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems (preferred)
  • Understand inventory control and materials management processes
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and can work cross-functionally
  • Are dependable, safety-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
