What’s a typical day as Shipping/Receiving Worker? You’ll be:
- Receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming materials and shipments
- Verifying materials against purchase orders and packing slips
- Entering accurate receiving transactions into ERP/inventory management systems
- Labeling, identifying, and routing materials to appropriate locations
- Coordinating with Purchasing and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits
- Organizing warehouse storage and ensuring proper material handling
- Operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) safely
- Preparing documentation and maintaining records related to receiving activities
- Supporting shipping, inventory control, and general warehouse operations
- Adhering to company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 2+ years of experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or materials management
- Are familiar with ERP systems, inventory software, and barcode scanning equipment
- Can read shipping documentation, packing slips, and purchase orders
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Are able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day
- Preferably have forklift certification or previous forklift experience
- Have experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems (preferred)
- Understand inventory control and materials management processes
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and can work cross-functionally
- Are dependable, safety-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
