Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to manage and oversee the full collections process for our organization. This role is based in Nashua, New Hampshire, and will require a proactive approach to ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have expertise in commercial and consumer collections, along with a strong understanding of credit management and billing practices.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the entire collections process, including tracking payment commitments, following up with customers, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Process credit card payments, assist with cash application activities, and resolve unapplied cash or account discrepancies.
• Monitor customer payment trends and credit exposure to mitigate risks and improve cash flow.
• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping of all transactions.
• Maintain a structured and disciplined approach to collections to meet organizational goals.
• Handle collections across multiple operating companies and navigate various systems and data environments.
• Standardize and implement collections policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to align on processes and achieve successful execution.
• Provide regular updates on accounts receivable aging and collections performance to enhance visibility and decision-making.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit management and billing collection processes.
• Proficiency in handling end-to-end collections activities, including payment tracking and account reconciliation.
• Ability to work across multiple systems and data environments efficiently.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with customers and internal teams.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor payment behaviors and identify trends.
• Experience in standardizing and implementing collections policies and procedures.
• Proactive and disciplined approach to meeting deadlines and achieving results.
