The Position: The Packaging Coordinator supports packaging development, testing, documentation, and project coordination for packaging initiatives with a focus on performance, sustainability, and compliance with internal and external standards. This role maintains packaging specifications, project timelines, testing records, data summaries, pallet patterns, and status updates under the guidance of the Sustainable Packaging Manager. The Packaging Coordinator works cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, quality, and other internal stakeholders to support the implementation of packaging solutions and ensure accurate, timely communication of project information.

The Location: Hybrid combining working from home, and onsite in White River Junction VT roughly once per quarter. Ideal candidates will be located within 120 miles of our offices.
The Pay: $50,900 to $69,300 annual salary; commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain packaging specifications, item master data, project documentation, and related records within PLM, ERP, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other applicable systems.
- Coordinate packaging development, sustainability, commercialization, and continuous improvement projects under the direction of the Packaging Manager.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, status reports, and supporting documentation to facilitate project execution and stakeholder communication.
- Support packaging testing activities, including sample coordination, laboratory logistics, scheduling, documentation, and record retention in accordance with ASTM and ISTA standards.
- Compile, analyze, and summarize packaging performance, sustainability, testing, and project data to support recommendations and decision-making.
- Document testing methodologies, results, conclusions, corrective actions, and project outcomes in accordance with internal standards and best practices.
- Research packaging materials, technologies, suppliers, and sustainability trends to support innovation, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate supplier communications, sample requests, material tracking, and follow-up activities to support packaging evaluations and projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to implement packaging changes, maintain change control documentation, and support project execution.
- Develop and maintain pallet patterns, load configurations, shipping diagrams, and packaging artwork, labeling, dieline, and proof documentation to support efficient and compliant distribution across wholesale, retail, and club sales channels.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in packaging or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, administrative coordination, project coordination, packaging, quality, sourcing, operations, or entry-level technical roles.
- Foundational understanding of packaging materials, documentation, project tracking, data entry, or testing processes preferred.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment preferred.
