Lead a high-performing CNC machining team to deliver safe, cost-effective, on-time, and high-quality output in alignment with ISO: 9001:2000 and AS9100.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operator/machinist assignments to optimize throughput and efficiency.
- Support supervision with production planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle administrative tasks and provide performance/equipment feedback to your supervisor.
- Run assigned machines as needed, including start-up, shutdown, and standard operations.
- Monitor quality using standard inspection instruments; take corrective action as required.
- Train new employees in set-up, operation, and basic maintenance.
- Update/develop CNC programs; troubleshoot tooling and program issues to sustain production.
- Drive team results in safety, cost, productivity, and quality system compliance.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to maintain shift-to-shift continuity.
- Contribute input to annual performance reviews.
- Stay current on machining methods, CNC programming enhancements, and modern tooling.
- Own new and different requests; seek opportunities to create additional value.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required background & capabilities
- High School Diploma/GED; vocational technical certification preferred.
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with CNC machine tools and functions; able to program/edit lathe and/or mill.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication, assembly, and related equipment.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and practices.
- Math proficiency including basic trigonometry.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience using an MRP system (SAP) desired.
- Leadership track record: coaching, mentoring, developing others, and managing performance with strong problem-solving and decision-making.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; able to build trust, collaborate cross-functionally, and foster an inclusive workplace.

- CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC); CNC Lathe (2–4 axis)
- CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC); CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
- GD&T, G‑Code, machine geometry/alignment, setup & changeover, production run setups
Pay & benefits
- Pay range: $34-$39 commensurate with experience + Bonus plan
