Job Title: Quality Control Inspector (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $19/hr + $2.00/hr shift differential
Location: Weymouth, MA 02188
Duration: Temp-to-hire (potential for long-term)
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM – 10:15 PM | Friday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join the growing 2nd shift team. This role ensures product quality through inspection and testing at multiple stages of the production process. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, familiarity with inspection tools, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical testing on components, subassemblies, and final products using standard instruments and fixtures.
• Conduct incoming inspections on selected components.
• Float between Incoming Inspection and Final Test Inspection as needed.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, comparators, gauges, and multimeters.
• Measure products per drawings and specifications, record results, and report any non-conformances.
• Process inspection data in ERP systems and maintain records and logs.
• Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, subassemblies, assemblies, and finished goods.
• Perform first-piece and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in managing workloads across departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection (mechanical and/or electrical).
• Ability to use mechanical and electrical measuring tools.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and quality control standards.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Awareness of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Soldering experience is a plus.

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance).

• Combination of manufacturing and office settings.
