Must Haves:

Minimum: 2-3 years of experience
Perform complete set-up
Able to work with large pieces - 12-16ft
Blueprint/Schematics reading
Read and understand of CAD/CAM files
General preventative maintenance of machine

2 shifts being offered:

5am to 3pm Monday thru Thursday
4:30pm to 5am Friday thru Sunday (Weekend Warrior)

Press Brake Operator to join a leading Company located in the Springfield, MO surrounding area.

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery to form precise components from various materials, such as metals, with high accuracy. This role requires dedication every task, ensuring each product meets our high standards while contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Responsibilities:
Machine Setup:
Configure and prepare the press brake machine by installing the correct punch and die tooling, setting material back gauges, and adjusting machine parameters according to job specifications.
We operate Haco Press Brakes and US Press Brakes.

Programming and Operation:
Input and adjust machine programs, interpreting technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and blueprints to ensure each bend is precise and meets exact specifications.
Material Handling:
Safely load and secure sheet metal or other materials, aligning them correctly with back gauges and stops to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Quality Control:
Perform thorough inspections during and after bending to verify tolerances, bend angles, and dimensions are correct, using creativity and innovation to address any issues and refine processes.

Machine Maintenance:
Conduct regular maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting the press brake and tooling, to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues such as tool wear, material spring-back, or misalignment, making necessary adjustments in real time to maintain product quality.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety standards, including proper PPE usage, and follow operational protocols to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in press brake operation preferred.
Experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing setting.
Flexibility to work overnight shifts is required.
Knowledge of metals, bend allowances, and materials commonly used in press brake forming processes.
Technical Proficiency in operating press brake machinery, with familiarity in CNC controls, bend allowances, and setup procedures.
Attention to Detail for achieving precise bend angles and maintaining tight tolerances.
Problem-Solving Skills to quickly address operational challenges.
Mechanical Aptitude for understanding and adjusting press brake operations and performing basic maintenance.
