This role encompasses moving these products from prototype and new product introduction through to medium-to-high-volume production, ensuring product readiness through comprehensive testing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end manufacturing test strategy from prototype through volume production.
  • Develop multi-generation test roadmaps and equipment-investment plans.
  • Influence product architecture through design-for-test principles.
  • Translate validation requirements into scalable production test methods.
  • Establish test-readiness criteria for each build phase.
  • Develop in-line, end-of-line, functional, parametric, and HIL test systems.
  • Create automated test sequences and objective pass/fail criteria.
  • Architect test-data schemas, traceability frameworks, and dashboard outputs.
  • Specify DAQ equipment, sensors, power supplies, loads, controllers, and interfaces.
  • Design intuitive test stations that production operators can execute reliably.
  • Scale engineering test setups into modular, repeatable production test cells.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with test, automation, NPI, electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical systems, instrumentation, Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, DAQ, HIL, traceability, DFT, SPC, and manufacturing.
  • Experience with grafana, quicksight, and ethercat.

Work Environment

The position is based in a robotics and automation facility, working around manufacturing test stations, autonomous robotic equipment, electrical systems, industrial machinery, and prototype or production hardware. Potential environmental considerations include exposure to powered equipment, elevated work areas, repetitive physical activity, electrical or high-voltage systems, autonomous robots, noise, airborne particulates, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
