Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage our daily warehouse operations, inventory movement, and freight logistics within our high-volume manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, inspecting incoming goods, verifying manifests, and preparing outgoing orders with speed and precision. A strong track record of safe forklift operation and proficiency using a manual or electric pallet jack are essential for moving materials and completing daily palletizing tasks. Prior background recording material receipts and transactions in an ERP SAP system will ensure seamless tracking across the entire supply chain.

Benefits and Compensation

Competitive Pay: $20/hr DOE to start! If you are transitioning from another HR Coordinator role, we offer great starting rates for our 1st shift hours.

Comprehensive Benefits: Includes premium health insurance (medical, dental, vision) and eligibility for an incentive recognition bonus program.

Responsibilities Include

  • Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklift equipment to unload inbound containers and stage heavy freight across the production floor.
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage outbound orders to meet rigorous freight logistics schedules and carrier pickup deadlines.
  • Perform palletizing procedures, wrapping, stacking, and securing outgoing freight to prevent shifting or transit damage.
  • Maneuver staging bins, raw stock, and staged goods through tight aisles using an electric pallet jack.
  • Coordinate all outbound shipping schedules, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and process tracking documentation.
  • Accurately update inventory logs, part quantities, and purchase order receipts directly inside our ERP SAP platform.
  • Support high-tempo manufacturing lines by replenishing raw stock, staging work-in-progress materials, and preventing line downtime.
  • Supervise inbound receiving workflows, examining arriving freight for discrepancies, damages, or missing bills of lading (BOL).
  • Conduct regular physical cycle counts to maintain 100% accurate inventory records across all storage locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant warehouse facility, keeping aisles, docks, and walkways clear of debris.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift & Pallet Jack Operation: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience safely operating a sit-down or reach forklift, alongside routine operation of a manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Palletizing & Packaging: Strong familiarity with order staging, wrapping, banding, and secure palletizing standards for domestic and international freight.
  • Shipping & Receiving Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing fast-paced freight shipping schedules as well as processing inbound dock receiving inspections.
  • Systems & Data Entry: Working knowledge of ERP SAP software for tracking lot numbers, logging orders, and conducting stock transfers.
  • Inventory Control: Proven ability to monitor inventory levels, investigate physical count variances, and support annual stock audits.
  • Manufacturing & Warehouse Background: Hands-on work experience in a fast-paced warehouse setting supporting active manufacturing operations.
  • Logistics Acumen: Solid understanding of dock logistics, bills of lading (BOL), carrier manifests, and third-party freight coordination.

What's in It for You

  • Stable Schedule: Reliable 1st-shift hours with consistent schedules and occasional voluntary overtime opportunities.
  • Career Growth: Hands-on cross-training across inventory control, supply chain, and warehouse operations.
  • Supportive Culture: A collaborative, safety-first team environment where your work ethic and contributions are recognized.
  • Quality Equipment: Modern, well-maintained material handling equipment and organized facilities.
