We are looking for a welcoming and organized Receptionist to support our client's daily front desk operations in West Springfield, Massachusetts for a short-term coverage. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a positive first impression, managing incoming communications, and keeping the office running smoothly. The role requires strong phone etiquette, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff members while maintaining a courteous front desk presence.
• Manage a multi-line phone system, answer incoming calls promptly, and route messages accurately to the correct departments or individuals.
• Respond to general inquiries from callers and visitors with courtesy, clarity, and efficiency.
• Support day-to-day administrative needs such as taking messages, handling basic office correspondence, and assisting with front office organization.
• Maintain a neat and orderly reception area to ensure a positive experience for guests and employees.
• Coordinate part-time reception coverage duties reliably and help ensure consistent front desk support during scheduled hours.
• Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or similar customer-facing administrative role.
• Ability to operate a multi-line switchboard or phone system with confidence and accuracy.
• Strong verbal communication skills and clear telephone etiquette.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound calls while remaining organized and courteous.
• Dependable time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a part-time schedule.
• Basic administrative and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
