Sheraton Four Points Newton, MA, is currently hiring for a Utility Kitchen Person position. Utility Kitchen Person is responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment for F&amp;B preparation and storage as well as provides clean service ware and utensils for the entire F&amp;B operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Service
<ul>
<li>Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation</li>
<li>Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests’ needs</li>
<li>Committed to making every guest is satisfied</li>
<li>Meets or exceeds guest satisfaction measures</li>
<li>Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service</li>
<li>Implements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Gulph Creek Hotel Standards</li>
</ul>
Utility Kitchen Person Operations
<ul>
<li>Maintain a sanitary environment for F&amp;B preparation and storage as well as provide clean service ware and utensils for the entire F&amp;B operation. </li>
<li>Adhere to established standards of safety, productivity and performance.</li>
<li>Perform dish and equipment washing and silver polishing activities. </li>
<li>Maintain the cleanliness of the back of house areas, which include main kitchen, storage areas, dumpsters, walk-in, staff dining room, </li>
<li>Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of house equipment. </li>
<li>Anticipate needs of chefs and aid in transport of food and plate-up. </li>
<li>Assist management in any other manner deemed necessary for the well-being of the operation</li>
<li>Must adhere to the company employee handbook at all times</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Gulph Creek Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. </li>
<li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working. </li>
<li>Comply at all times with Gulph Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.</li>
<li>Other duties as required</li>
