Responsibilities:

<li>Working with engineering documents including drawings to determine the correct method and equipment need to perform inspection</li>
<li>Interpreting customer and internal engineering drawings, company specifications and quality requirements to determine if material, components and product are in compliance</li>
<li>Develop special precision inspection setup operations to accurately and precisely verify requirements</li>
<li>Interpreting ANSI 14.5 geometric dimension and tolerance requirements to determine measure and verify compliance</li>
<li>Working with the engineering department to develop techniques and procedures to accurately and precisely verify compliance for new components</li>
<li>Perform first piece, first article inspection for all levels of components and products in accordance with AS9102</li>
<li>Helping in the determination of root cause to support improvement of processes and product</li>
<li>Using test and inspection instruments and equipment such as: micrometers, indicators, pressure gauge, hand tools, optical comparators, verniers and weights</li>
<li>Operating and analysis dimensional requirements using a CMM</li>
</ul>

Summary
The Quality Control Technician - Troubleshooting is responsible for inspecting and testing cable and wire products and processes to ensure they meet all quality standards, specifications, and regulations. This includes performing visual inspections, dimensional measurements, electrical, and functional tests. The primary function of this role is to evaluate nonconforming products and to determine the necessary actions to rework the product. The QC Technician must also be able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications. This position requires the use of High Voltage, all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment must be followed. 
The Quality Control Technician - Troubleshooting is a respectful team-player that works well with diverse internal team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Troubleshoot nonconforming cables, fill out nonconformance reports and communicates findings to Production Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager </li>
<li>Detect and report unusual or non-conforming documentation, materials, conditions, or product to Production Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager. </li>
<li>Assist and sometimes lead Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts. </li>
<li>Inspect materials, components, and final product to ensure they meet quality standards. </li>
<li>Measure dimensions of cable and wire products to ensure they meet specifications. </li>
<li>Conduct visual and electrical tests on cable and wire products to ensure they meet performance requirements and identify any defects. </li>
<li>When required, perform functional tests on cable and wire products to ensure they operate as designed. </li>
<li>Document the results of all tests and inspections. Create, update, compile, save and maintain documentation into internal database. </li>
<li>Work with various internal personnel and departments to communicate and resolve quality issues. </li>
<li>Comply and support company policies and quality management system. </li>
<li>Maintain and create a clean, uncluttered environment that reduces waste and optimizes productivity by following the 5S steps: sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain. </li>
<li>When required, help with continuous improvement efforts. </li>
<li>More additional responsibilities may be applicable per the Quality Manager. </li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>1+ year of experience in quality control, preferably in the cable and wire manufacturing industry.</li>
<li>Experience with visual inspection and dimensional measurement.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Adobe.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficient with computers and comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).</li>
