GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To ensure that all track attendants provide a fun, safe and efficient racing environment for our customers.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
· Ensure that all track personnel perform their assigned duties safely, effectively and professionally
· Ensure that the daily attendance log is completed by all staff members
· Coordinate with Assistant and General Managers regarding disciplinary and operational issues
· Prepare track and karts prior to opening
· Instruct new customers on proper kart usage, race flag usage, and racing safety
· Maintain an orderly and speedy flow of racers through the track(s)
· Supervise ongoing races and enforce race policies and procedures
· Respond to emergency situations as they arise
· Ensure that the pit and track areas remain clean and safe
· Perform specific facility cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management
· Perform closing duties to secure the pit and track and prepare for the following day’s operation
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
REASONING ABILITY:
 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

It is the responsibility of the Pit Supervisor to ensure that established operational policies and procedures are followed by all track attendants. It is also the responsibility of the Pit Supervisor to coordinate with the Assistant Manager and General Manager regarding disciplinary action involving track attendants. The Pit Supervisor is the first point of contact for addressing customer issues. This position is responsible for between 10 and 20 track attendants.

<li>Analyze the application of state and federal case and regulatory law to the facts of cases for pre-trial motions and other submissions</li>
<li>Draft original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters</li>
<li>Draft discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with various parties</li>
<li>Interview potential and preparing witnesses for testimony in litigation or before regulatory bodies </li>
<li>Take and defend lay, expert, and corporate representative depositions</li>
<li>Argue motions</li>
<li>Develop client relationships through oral and written communication</li>
<li>Draft pre-trial reports and performing risk analysis</li>
<li>Participate in mediations and/or court-mandated status, settlement conferences and hearings</li>
<li>Develop overall strategies for case resolution and Solve problems creatively </li>
<li>Identify, assign and supervise work for case paralegals</li>
<li>Interact and potentially managing outside co-defense counsel to negotiate global discovery strategies </li>
<li>Negotiate settlements with plaintiffs and other opposing parties</li>

<li>Demonstrate leadership in the local community through memberships in bar associations and other organizations</li>
<li>Develop oneself as a resource for other attorneys involved in the firm’s practice areas</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school </li>
<li>Requires admittance to at least one state bar preferable MA, CT or RI</li>

<li>Experience in mass-torts, class actions, environmental, commercial litigation, abuse, harassment and discrimination, or other complex risk management experience required</li>
