Summary: The Direct Support Professional 1 will support and assist in Level 1 residential programs. Staff will help individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Create opportunities and provide support to individuals to make decisions to develop their skills and foster independence. </li>
<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs.</li>
<li>Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.</li>
<li>Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.</li>
<li>Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.</li>
<li>Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP. </li>
<li>Maintain additional mandated certifications and training as required by the program.</li>
<li>Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.</li>

Required Education/Experience:

We are looking for caring, dependable, and skilled individuals to join our team as In-Home Caregivers in the greater Burlington&nbsp;area. Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.</li>
<li>Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices if needed.</li>
<li>Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living spaces.</li>
<li>Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.</li>
<li>Offer companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients.</li>
<li>Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or needs to the appropriate personnel.</li>
<li>Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to care plans.</li>
<li>Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.</li>
</ul>
What qualifications we look for:
<ul>
<li>Previous caregiver&nbsp;experience (professional or personal) preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.</li>
<li>Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.</li>
<li>Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred (for certain clients).</li>
<li>CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.</li>

No formal training is required -&nbsp;We are glad to offer folks with the desire to learn and help elders a chance to break into the healthcare field. Relevant past jobs that would have offered you experience that is helpful to being a good caregiver include, but are not limited to, working in the restaurant or retail industry, teaching or nannying, housekeeping or maid services, ride share or taxi driving, social work and work with behaviorally challenged individuals.&nbsp;
