Uses a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets. In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place. In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired. Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time. Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 50-75 lbs. Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Repair Operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Repair Operators must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

PREFERRED SKILLS
2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast moving setting with industrial machinery.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee daily operations within our sheet metal fabrication facility. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage people, materials, and workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Plan, organize, and manage daily sheet metal production operations to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.</li>
<li>Supervise, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to production schedules, adjusting workloads and resources as necessary.</li>
<li>Monitor fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, welding, and finishing, to maintain high standards of precision and quality.</li>
<li>Implement and enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and quality control teams to resolve technical or production issues.</li>
<li>Optimize machine utilization and minimize downtime through proactive maintenance and scheduling.</li>
<li>Track and analyze production metrics (efficiency, scrap rates, labor utilization, etc.) to identify areas for improvement.</li>
<li>Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field (preferred).</li>
<li>Must have a minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing management.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes (cutting, punching, forming, welding, assembly, finishing).</li>
<li>Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.</li>
<li>Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office applications.</li>

Precision Machining and Quality Control (Operation)
<ul>
<li>Independently operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including robot tending automation cells, to produce components that meet engineering specifications.</li>
<li>Machine multiple copies of pre-programmed parts and sub-tasks of larger projects.</li>
<li>Modify existing parts and fabricate holding and test fixtures with guidance.</li>
<li>Load, unload, and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met..</li>
<li>Collaborate with team leaders and cross-functional partners to resolve machining or fabrication challenges.</li>
</ul>
Equipment Health and Shop Readiness (Support &amp; Maintenance)
<ul>
<li>Proactively manage daily shop logistics, including tooling setup, material handling, waste chip management, and coolant/oil restocking.</li>
<li>Perform first-level troubleshooting and preventative maintenance (PM) on shop machinery as needed. Monitor machine metrics such as coolant/oil levels and filters to ensure optimal equipment performance.</li>
<li>Maintain an organized, safe, and highly efficient work environment, including tool crib management and post-processing room organization, strictly adhering to safety protocols.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>1–3 years of hands-on machining or fabrication experience in a prototype or production environment.</li>
<li>Ability to perform first-level troubleshooting and preventative maintenance (PM) on shop machinery, including coolant/oil management and basic machine adjustments.</li>
<li>Strong commitment to shop safety, organization, and cleanliness; familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or the 5S methodology is highly desired.</li>
<li>Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, plan work, and execute assignments with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T), and technical documentation.</li>
<li>Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, with experience holding tight machining tolerances.</li>
<li>Direct experience with common CNC control systems (Haas, Fanuc) or metrology tools is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling, setup efficiency, or chip and coolant management.</li>
<li>Required availability for overtime, up to 50 hours per week.</li>
