We are seeing a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Ludlow. Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for therapeutic exercise programs, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
- Assist in the delivery of post-operative rehabilitation, sports injury recovery, and chronic condition management
- Document daily treatment notes, update progress reports, and communicate patient status with the care team in compliance with HIPAA and clinical guidelines
- Ensure proper use of therapeutic modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs) as prescribed
- Educate patients on home exercise programs (HEP) and activity modifications to support ongoing recovery
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and scheduling
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Massachusetts PTA license in good standing (Required)
- Experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, or outpatient physical therapy setting preferred
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and patient documentation systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
- CPR/BLS certification (Preferred)
Schedule:
- Full-time: Monday–Friday, Day Shifts (No evenings or weekends)
- 40 hours/week
Compensation:
- Hourly range: $27-$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- $2,500 Sign-on Bonus!
