The Director of Workforce Optimization
will lead the workforce optimization strategy and efforts for assigned divisions and service lines. Will work in partnership with Operations, Clinical, and Support Function leaders to provide operational support and decision-making tools regarding clinical compensation spend. Will support the definition, implementation, and execution of the overall Physician Services workforce optimization strategy to achieve optimal results in productivity, efficiency, and quality with the most appropriate mix of resources and lowest level of expense. Responsibilities
Support Operations and Clinical Leaders in regular and ad hoc analysis and reporting of compensation spend/ metrics and identification of opportunities within individual contracts and across service lines and divisions as requested.Initiate and lead tactical work streams in support of identified opportunities.Prepare analysis of compensation spend and equip Operations leaders to “tell the story” for monthly operating reviews.Lead monthly labor review calls for assigned books of business.Develop key metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools that assist in execution of initiatives and support ongoing performance.Partner and collaborate with support functions including recruiting, scheduling, credentialing, contracting, contingent labor deployment, human resources, and others on the execution of a comprehensive and aligned workforce optimization strategy.Develop proactive tools to monitor and adjust staffing utilization.Collaborate with leadership to implement programs, identify cost savings opportunities, and recommend corrective action plans when necessary.Serve as subject matter expert for workforce systems and process implementations and enhancements.Support Operations and Finance in creation of annual compensation/ staffing budget and identification of risks and opportunities.Review, develop, and implement compensation and staffing utilization policies and procedures.Support the development, modeling, and maintenance of a comprehensive compensation strategy that contemplates appropriate rates and compensation structure that leads to optimal staffing volume and drives results.Partner with Clinical Compensation Director to perform proactive compensation reviews for assigned book of business.Other duties as assignedReads and abides by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programsReports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the companyObtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do soSupport and abide by the values of the companyExcellence – Going above and beyond to deliver the highest quality care and experience to our patients and teammatesCollaboration – Being inclusive and supportive of one another to deliver improved outcomes to our patients and teammatesEthical Responsibility – Acting with the utmost integrity and doing the right thing, even when nobody is watchingEngagement – Promote an environment where clinicians and teammates thrive, feel passion and joy for what they do, take care of each other, and are proud of who we are and what we do.

Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University required with a preference for degrees in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Analytics, and Healthcare related fields and 7 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMaster’s degree preferredHealthcare industry experience preferred Computer Skills
Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel logic functions, lookups, pivot tables, etc. preferredFamiliarity navigating in and reporting with ERP, HRIS, ATS, Scheduling, Timekeeping, and related systemsEnterprise data warehouse reporting preferred
