The purpose of the HSE Supervisor is to implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs relative to a large national/international corporate account or market area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and global program requirements of client account.
Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for modifications or mitigation measures.
Monitors injury, illness, and incident related performance within the account, market area, or other assigned area of responsibility.
Monitors performance for trends or other indicators of improving or degrading incident performance and develops and implements strategic solutions that will improve the performance results as required.
Provides oversight and consultation services for the execution of HSE plans, playbooks, and procedures for the account, market area, or assigned area of responsibility.
Provides recommendations to the client account, for the revision of such plans, playbooks, and procedures to ensure the information is current and complete and can be effectively implemented during operations.
Monitors HSE regulatory compliance within the account, market area, or assigned area of responsibility.
Communicates all findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible functional managers to effect timely and necessary corrections.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
Develops and implements standardized metrics to measure the effectiveness of HSE programs; including both lagging and leading indicators. Provides recommendations for program refinement to increase enrichment, understanding, and maturity based on a review of standardized metrics.
Metrics will be tracked and reported to the client account on a monthly basis.
Assists in identifying opportunities to reduce costs, while enhancing the quality of services, for a client/account.
Promotes safety consciousness among team, partners, stakeholders, and account employees by providing accurate and informative data, conducting training, participating in program awareness opportunities, giving timely feedback on program questions, and visibly supporting the overall HSE program(s).
Acts as a resource to team and client account as a HSE subject matter expert and establishes cross-functional partnerships with account departments and stakeholders to facilitate understanding and maturity of programs.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to team members. May coordinate and assign tasks to team members within a specific functional unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in HSE or a related field, from a four-year college or university preferred.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is essential.
Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is preferred.
Experience working in industrial hygiene, research or manufacturing HSE is preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) - Preferred
