Compensation:
$90,000 - $100,000
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice</li>
<li>Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff</li>
<li>Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently</li>
<li>Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action</li>
<li>Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Management, oversight, and primary responsibility for all estate administration matters</li>
<li>Conduct follow-up call with probate clients</li>
<li>Determine a plan for the administration of the Estate, what information is needed from the client, and communicate with the Estate Administration Team on next steps</li>
<li>Review pleading drafts prepared by Estate Administration Legal Assistants and Paralegals</li>
<li>Ensure that pleadings are submitted according to estate timelines</li>
<li>Resolve any issues with the court surrounding a probate matter</li>
<li>Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients through email, phone, and in-person meetings</li>
<li>Ensure that all time is tracked accurately and submitted on time by the end of each week</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients</li>
<li>Candidates must have passed the bar exam</li>
<li>Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Comfortable with technology and web-based apps</li>
<li>Ability to consistently track and enter billable time in practice management software</li>
<li>Effective teamwork and communication skills</li>
</ul>
 
Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>J.D. from an accredited Law School</li>
<li>Active Massachusetts Bar Licensure</li>
<li>2-3 years of experience in Massachusetts probate matters as a primary concentration</li>
</ul>
 
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li>
