DescriptionCoordinate and facilitate the day to day administrative office operations of the department that includes: support of physicians, nurses and patients. Provide supervision for patient throughput, clinic operations, and assistance to CTA, MA. Facilitates communication and efficient ambulatory clinic operations. Trains new staff on clinic protocols. Assists front desk and or patient flow as necessary, evaluates daily workflow and assigns tasks to support staff. Provides support as a super user for ambulatory electronic medical record ,AEMR, Soarian scheduling and check in, out process. Provides input on performance reviews. Maintains and monitors the Kronos Exception log. Ensures implementation of business policies and procedures for the daily operations of the clinic. Assists in billing review and charge capture process. Responsible for inventory management. Participates in performance and quality improvement initiatives. Actively participates in department activities designed to promote quality patient care. Knowledge, observation and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and Joint Commission mandates. Manages daily office operations for the department to ensure optimal efficiency and coordinates various appointments and specialty testing, procedures. Acts as Liaison between various internal, external individuals, departments and facilities. Provides excellent customer service. Provides and maintains record keeping support, tracks data and creates various documents for the department, Ability to recognize and respond quickly to changing operational needs or special projects assigned by Manager, physician or nurses.
Demonstrate Leadership qualities
Excellent organizational skills
Associate degree in business or health administration preferred.
Minimum 3 years related experience in a medical clinic setting.
1 year supervisory experience preferred
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):
MA certification strongly preferred
