The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all injection molding equipment. Task include, but are not limited to start-up, shut-down, preventative maintenance on machinery and molds. This position reports to the Maintenance Manger
Repair and maintain facilities and production equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
Perform mold set-up, start-up, shutdowns, maintenance repairs and PMs on molds and production equipment.
Uses a wide variety of machine tools and equipment.
Duties may change as needed
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric machine controls.
Basic trouble shooting skills.
Willingness to work any shift needed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to follow instructions. Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends and unscheduled overtime on occasional basis.
Work Environment/Physical Activity Requirements:
May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling
Ability to lift 50lbs a minimum of 10 times per day and lift 50lbs over shoulder height occasionally
Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance
Ability to work outdoors at temperatures over 100 degrees and below freezing
Required to wear Protective Personal Equipment (safety glasses or goggles, ear plugs, steel toed boots, tools provided)
